At Skillmonger, we design and deliver leadership programmes, workshops, eLearning and learning platforms. Whatever we build treats people as the capable adults they are, deals with the problems they face at work this week and gives them something they can use straight away. About us

Skillmonger started because too much learning is built to tick a box, and ticking a box changes nothing. Programmes built around compliance requirements and theory are forgotten by Friday. You probably know that already, and you may have spent years trying to convince someone else of it.

So everything we build starts with the situations people face at work. People get treated like intelligent adults and leave with tools they can try the same afternoon. Attention goes up when learning feels useful, and that's when behaviour starts to shift.

Meet Tiiu

Hi, I'm Tiiu (tea-you). The two furry faces in the photo are Loki and Freyja, our quality controllers and wellbeing ambassadors. They've both signed the NDA, so they're allowed on client calls. Their feedback mostly involves sitting on whatever I'm working on.

I've spent around twenty years in L&D across global corporates, scale-ups and consultancy, building leadership programmes, IoL and CPD accredited courses, compliance eLearning people finish without losing the will to live, and learning platforms that span many countries. On the strategic side: competency frameworks, learning strategies, and the governance that stops a learning function turning into the Wild West.

My sessions come with stories, a fair bit of humour and my own (occasionally ridiculous) mistakes, because people learn far more from a good disaster than from a perfect slide.

I've lived and studied in several countries, so I know how differently people work, learn and disagree across cultures. My ILM and CMI Level 7 coaching qualifications show up in how I run a room: more good questions, fewer lectures. I'm also a proud psychometrics nerd (Insights Discovery and Lumina Spark).

Learning design and eLearning

We design learning of every size, from a single workshop to a full leadership programme. Our sweet spot is leadership and human skills (there's nothing soft about them), plus compliance eLearning that nobody dreads.

Setting up a learning platform shouldn't need a PhD in systems integration (or the patience of a saint). We put your people first and the platform second, so nobody has to fight the system to get anything done.

How we work

Every organisation is different. What works brilliantly in a construction firm can flop in a pharma company, and first-line managers need something very different from the board. So we don't sell one-size-fits-all programmes. In our experience, one size fits nobody.

The first step is always finding out what isn't working for you right now. Then we design something that fits your culture and your people, pitched at the right level for each audience. If something won't work, we'll say so before you spend money on it. If a simpler fix exists, we'll suggest it, even when it means less work for us.
